Below, two original crash report photographs of the tail. This was no longer there. The tail section was probably dynamited by the government as we found parts of the horizontal, rudder and elevators, but no trace of the vertical. It is reported that about a year ago a group restoring a B-29 removed some parts, perhaps the vertical was one of them. |
